History of Establishment
- Doon University established the Research and Innovation Cell in the year 2021. Its mandate and guidelines were also approved by the Executive Council in the year 2021. As the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) focuses on catalyzing quality research in the nation and lays the framework to strengthen research ecosystems in Higher Education, University Grants Commission (UGC) has formulated
- Guidelines for Establishment of Research & Development Cell (RDC) in Higher Education institutions. According to UGC, the establishment of RDC in the University and the recommended guidelines will pave the way for integrating the key elements (which are Research, Innovation and Technology development) for lndia's Atma-Nirbhar Bharat mission. Hence, in the year 2022.
- Doon University amended the Research and Innovation Cell which is known as Research and Development Cell (RDC). The University also incorporated all the objectives and structures into the existing guidelines.
