Doon University is a fully residential university that provides a safe, comfortable, and academically enriching living environment for its students. Students are expected to reside in the university hostels unless permitted otherwise by the competent authority.
Living on campus enables students to actively participate in tutorials, group discussions, academic interactions, and co-curricular activities beyond regular class hours. This residential experience promotes collaborative learning, strengthens interpersonal and communication skills, and contributes to the holistic development of students.
The University provides separate hostels for boys and girls, with well-maintained single- occupancy rooms and modern amenities. All hostel residents are required to strictly adhere to the Hostel and Mess/Cafeteria Rules and Regulations.
Students are not permitted to keep firearms, music systems, or any other prohibited items in the hostels. They are also advised not to keep valuables such as jewellery, cameras, or large amounts of cash in their rooms. The University shall not be responsible for any loss of personal belongings.


A banking facility with an ATM is available on the University campus for the convenience of students. Students are required to carry their University Identity Card while availing campus facilities.
The University provides adequate medical assistance and basic healthcare facilities on campus to ensure the well-being of students.
Doon University encourages students to actively participate in sports, games, and a wide range of extracurricular activities. The campus offers facilities for sports and regularly organizes literary, cultural, social, and film-related events to promote creativity, leadership, and overall personality development.

Students experiencing any issues related to hostel facilities may contact the Hostel Grievance Committee, along with the Chief Warden, for assistance and resolution of their concerns.
