Under this two year Field Survey based project ( 2013-2015 ) objective is to find out whether this Rai Sikh community suffers from the evil practice of Untouchability. An Etymological Survey of the Rai Sikh community is being undertaken with the help of the team which was trained under the First Project. The Schedule of Field Survey has been released on 29th January 2014.

Creation of a website, interactive response, with hyperlinks with the Central Information Commission, all State Information Commissions, and all State Departments. It stresses on improving the supply side of the RTI architecture. To make it sustainable a standard MoU with all Universities and Law Colleges is proposed to be contracted , providing turn-key services, counseling and guidance, setting up a State level Consortium with the help of stakeholders. During the course of the project a network of institution-based District Facilitation Centre's would be established and these would be enabled to undertake Vocational Courses for RTI related legal services

To evolve and describe the population profile of STs in the states of Uttarakhand & Himanchal Pradesh on the basis of secondary data collected by researchers, different governmental agencies, Census etc., in terms of –
To evolve and describe the social, historical and cultural profile of different ST subgroups in the state of Uttarakhand on the basis of published research work.
To evolve, describe and compare the trend of enrolment, dropout, stagnation and wastage, of ST and general category students at different levels and streams of education in the state of Uttarakhand on the basis of secondary data generated by different agencies of education.
To evolve, describe and compare the educational performance, in terms of percentage of marks obtained and other available indices of educational performance, of ST and general category students on the basis of data generated by different agencies of education.
To evolve and describe availability and status of utilization of special educational facilities for ST students in the state of Uttarakhand, with a view to access impact and identification of problems in utilization.

Soon after the 2011 Census results were shred on the 7th August 2012 at the University courtesy the Centre the State Director Census Office was approached to access and store in the University all Census Dada, ever since Census Operations commenced in the country. In pursuance now a Data Centre consisting of data furnished by the Office of the Registrar General of India, GoI, has been secured for the University, which would serve not only the interest of all researchers of the University alone but for the entire state.
