The Indian Aerosol Science and Technology Association (IASTA; iasta.gov.in) is a professional organization for scientists and engineers endeavoring to advance aerosol research in the Indian context. IASTA addresses various interests spanning environmental sciences, occupational safety and public health, industrial and medical applications, and nuclear safety. It also includes the disciplines relevant to the Indian context, such as pollution, indoor air quality, filtration, etc. IASTA is a member of the International Aerosol Research Assembly (IARA) and the Asian Aerosol Research Association (AARA). Since its inception in 1988, IASTA has been working towards growing aerosol science and technology disciplines and their applications in the country by organizing conferences and workshops and bringing out biennial bulletins and other publications. It has maintained an active liaison between institutions in India and abroad. IASTA brackets a valuable spread of expertise with its over 650 members encompassing scientific, medical, industrial, and academic domains.
