NBRMAP-DB, a safe hypoglycaemic herbal formulation: For successful translational research on scientifically validated herbal formulation NBRMAP-DB, for the management of diabetes, 2016-CSIR Technology Award was conferred to CSIR-CIMAP and CSIR-NBRI, in New Delhi at Vigyan Bhawan on September 26, 2016. Low Grain Arsenic (As) Rice Cultivar: The variety has been given the name 'Muktashri' by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, as it accumulates less arsenic compared to recommended permissible limit. This variety has been released by State Variety Release Committee (SVRC) in January 15, 2016.
